We have been truly blessed this year! California is the third State to rescind all previous Article V Constitutional Convention applications this year after Washington and Connecticut. This makes the total rescissions 16. This puts us very close to blocking an Article V Constitutional Convention, which requires 34 of 50 states. And 2 other great victories, Idaho and Montana voted NOT to repeal their original rescissions.
Judi Caler has more details below.

CALIFORNIA RESCINDED All Previous Article V Constitutional Convention Applications
\\\WOO-H00///
Sept. 4, 2025. Our liberal allies in the war to save our Constitution struck again! For the 12th time within 10 years, a Democrat State rescinded all its applications—this time in California. By passing SJR-1, California rescinded 7 applications passed between 1911 and 2023, including Gov. Newsom's "gun control" application (2023); and Wolf Pack's 2014 application for the ostensible purpose of taking money out of politics.
The final Assembly vote was a UNANIMOUS 68 (Yeas) to 0 (Nays)! The Senate passed SJR-1 on June 16th. With your help, 9 (almost half) of the Republican Assembly Members voted YEA. Republicans compose about 25% of the Assembly.
What a year! Washington State rescinded all its applications on April 9th, and Connecticut on May 8th. Together with California's rescission today, this is truly something to celebrate! There are now only 34 States with active applications.
Do the math, and California's rescission brings the total number of states having NO applications on record to 16—Hawaii (which has never passed an application under Article V); and the states which rescinded all their applications without passing new ones: Idaho (2000), Virginia (2004), Montana (2007), Delaware (2016), Maryland (2017), New Mexico (2017), Nevada (2017), Colorado (2021), New Jersey (2021), Illinois (2022), Oregon (2023), New York (2024), Washington State (2025), Connecticut (2025), and now California (2025)!
The most effective thing State Legislatures can do to save our Constitution is to rescind all applications on record. When one more state rescinds, assuming none of the states listed above pass new applications, there won't be 34 states left for Congress to count. Woo Hoo!!!
Thank you, CALIFORNIA!!!
Please thank the following 9 Republican Assemblymembers for standing up for our Constitution and voting YES on SJR-1: Dear Assemblymember:
If you're a Republican or Conservative, tell them so!

And please thank Democrat Senator Wiener for introducing SJR-1 (Rescission) and ushering it through the Legislature. Dear Senator Wiener:
