IDAHO possible Vote tomorrow morning on COS, BBA and Term limits

March 25, 2024
Janine Hansen, Eagle Forum National Constitutional Issues Chairman

Please share with friends and family.

We need your help!!!

It was announced today (Monday, March 25) that all three Article V Constitutional Convention applications, Convention of States, Term Limits, and Balanced Budget could possibly come up for a vote tomorrow morning.

Please Email Senate Republicans ONE MORE TIME!

Idaho Article V Constitutional Convention Applications

SCR 112 Convention of States waiting for a vote in the whole Senate.

SCR 114 Term Limits waiting for a vote in the whole Senate.

SCR 115 Balanced Budget Amendment waiting for a vote in the whole Senate.

MESSAGE: Please Vote NO on ALL Article V Constitutional Convention applications, SCR 112 Convention of States, SCR 114 Term Limits, and SCR 115 Balanced Budget. An Article V Convention cannot be limited. Please don’t jeopardize our Second Amendment Rights. California has passed an Article V Convention application which guts our Right to Keep and Bear Arms. The language in COS “to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government” opens every section of the Constitution to amendment. Idaho gets 41% of its state funding from the federal government. A Balanced Budget Amendment will mean Idaho will have to raise taxes. Term Limits will help highly paid lobbyists and the Left which has an endless supply of candidates. It’s much harder to find constitutional conservatives to run for office. (Or better yet write your own message.)

IDAHO Update: Oppose Convention of States, Balanced Budget Term Limits

March 4, 2024
Janine Hansen, Eagle Forum National Constitutional Issues Chairman

Idaho State Senate will meet again at 4:30pm today, March 4.

Update Idaho Article V Constitutional Convention Applications

SCR 112 Convention of States waiting for a vote in the whole Senate

SCR 114 Term Limits passed out of Committee 5 to 4

SCR 115 Balanced Budget Amendment passed out of Committee 6 to 3

You can see with 3 different Article V applications that the advocates of an Article V Convention are not sincere about keeping a Convention to one issue. We must continue to Email and Call!

MESSAGE: Please Vote NO on ALL Article V Constitutional Convention applications, SCR 112 Convention of States, SCR 114 Term Limits, and SCR 115 Balanced Budget. “A Balance Budget Amendment just won’t work,” more information below.

Senator Abby Lee voted no on SCR14 Term Limits. Remind her that Convention of States contains Term Limits as well. ALee@senate.idaho.gov, 208-332-1325
