EMERGENCY! Just posted today!

HEARING: Friday, March 1, 1:30pm, Room WW54

We need people to testify!

Article V Constitutional Convention applications on a SCR 115 Balanced Budget and SCR 114 Term Limits.

To Testify Remotely: https://legislature.idaho.gov/sessioninfo/2024/standingcommittees/sjr/#hcode-tab-style2testimony-registration-remote-in-person

MESSAGE: Please Vote NO on the Article V Constitutional Convention applications SCR 115 Balanced Budget and SCR 114 Term Limits. It doesn’t matter what the topic for a Convention is an Article V Constitutional Convention cannot be limited. Idaho gets 41% of its state funding from the federal government. A Balanced Budget Amendment will mean Idaho will have to raise taxes. We have term limits every election. The Left has an endless supply of candidates. It’s much harder to find constitutional conservatives to run for office.

IDAHO Alert: We need more EMAILS opposing Convention of States!

Janine Hansen, Eagle Forum National Constitutional Issues Chairman

We need more Emails! Opposing Convention of States to all Republican Senators!

The Good News is that the Idaho State Senate has NOT voted on SCR112 Convention of States yet. We must EMAIL ALL OF THE REPUBLICAN SENATORS AGAIN.

The article “Convention of States Action Shenanigans” about the big money spent in Idaho by COS is below.

INFORMATION: It won’t be ONE State ONE Vote. Article V does not tell us how many delegates there will be or how they will be selected. But, “Between 1973 and 1992, 22 bills were introduced in the U.S. House and 19 in the U.S. Senate that sought to establish a procedural framework that would apply to an Article V Convention…The Senate… passed the ‘Federal Constitutional Convention Procedures Act,’ on two separate occasions; as S 215 in 1971 and as S 1272 in 1983.” Although these bills did not pass Congress, they assert Congress’s intent on setting the formula for delegates and all other procedures for an Article V Convention. Source Congressional Research Service, April 11, 2014.

https://www.everycrsreport.com/files/20140411_R42589_f565d06c544815456eb3805d4f52c2b5749d36b7.pdf

These bills called for proportional representation of States based on the formula for the Electoral College, which adds the state’s number of Congressmen and 2 Senators, not one vote per state. So, Idaho would have 4 votes and California 54 at a Convention. California passed an Article V Convention application in 2023 which guts the Second Amendment.

MESSAGE: Please Vote NO on SCR112 Convention of States. Don’t be intimidated by the Convention of States and the big money they have spent in Idaho. Under the Congressional formula for an Article V Convention Idaho would have 4 votes and California 54! California has already passed an Article V Convention application which guts the Second Amendment. Don’t put Idaho and our constitutionally protected rights in jeopardy.

INLAND NW REPORT

Convention of States Actions Shenanigans

ARIZONA Alert: Contact Sen Bennett to rescind all Article V Constitutional Conventions

We need your help! In Arizona SCR1039, a Resolution to Rescind all previous Article V Constitutional Convention applications has been introduced. This is critical to our efforts to stop a national Constitutional Convention which can’t be limited and will put our whole Constitution at risk.

Update from Georgia Eagle Forum

February 2024 Report

The second week of January was the start of our 40-day legislative session. This year we have placed a strong emphasis on fighting FOR good legislation to be passed. We “prepped” for our Session by making as many in-district visits to both sides of the aisle to develop better relationships before the General Session. The Session has become a time for serious “combat” in too many cases and it is time to allow our public servants to know that we are there to advocate FOR positions that will make the lives of all citizens to fulfill and enjoy the visions of our Founders. Here are a few “highlights”.

  • We held our Advocacy 101 training in the old Senate Chambers of the Capitol. Carminthia Moore did a fabulous job of presenting the basics and taking the mystery out of the legislative process.
  • We are about to roll out our monthly leadership ZOOM sessions that will highlight special topics and speakers. The first will be a session on Advocacy 101 as a refresher or to benefit those who have recently joined us for the first time.
  • A major project in progress is an educational pamphlet on an Article V Convention. We have taken the work that Joanna Martin and Janine Hansen have so diligently compiled. We have taken the points from the “action required” blasts and put them into a format that tells the truth of Con-Con and offers the conclusion that the best action to take is to begin to rescind their previously submitted application for Article V Convention.
  • Under the Gold Dome we have had some success in our work to close the loophole with libraries to make sure that the ALA has been used to promote explicit books to even small children. This has passed out of committee and now must get through Rules.
  • Elections: various efforts to tighten and define vague codes that have served as opportunities for a lack of election integrity.

GOOD NEWS! No vote yet in IDAHO on Convention of States! KEEP IT UP!

Good News! There was no Vote on SCR112 Convention of States in the Full Senate this week so far. We can only hope that means that they don’t have the votes. But we must keep going!

Our Phone Calls & Emails are changing minds.

Please keep it up!!!

We’ve added 3 new Senators.

MESSAGE: Please Vote NO on SCR112 the Convention of States. No Article V Convention for Amendments can be limited. Sixteen Democrat States plus the District of Columbia have passed the National Popular Vote Compact to circumvent the Electoral College. Those sixteen Democrat States will be participants in any Article V Convention. The Constitutional Convention will put our entire Constitution including the Electoral College at risk. Please vote NO.  (Or better yet write your own message.)

Shake Up in the Senate?

Four States Can Flip the Senate in 2024 – Flip Your Coins in Eagle Forum PAC!

For three years now, Democrats have held the majority in the U.S. Senate under Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY). He has used every tool possible to push the radical Biden Administration policies – open borders, abortion on demand with taxpayer funding, and gender madness in our schools, hospitals, and military. He has prevented conservative House-passed legislation from being considered, held up the spending bills, and prevented Republicans from being able to offer amendments to legislation that is brought up for a vote.

8 Back-to-School Books To Protect Students Against Leftist Brainwashing

Several years ago Joshua Lawson provided a list of books that should be must-reads for anyone who feels surrounded by leftist ideology — which means all of us. True history is not being taught in schools, and foundational American values are often dismissed as irrelevant in our modern culture.

Alert! HELP New York trying to Rescind all Constitutional Conventions

Great News!

New York is trying to Rescind all Article V Constitutional Convention applications.

New York Assembly has a critical resolution K797, which rescinds all previous Article V Constitutional Convention applications passed by the New York, way back to 1789. The 1789 resolution, in particular, is being used by Constitutional Convention advocates, to add together subjects as different as the Civil War, Anti-Polygamy, Balanced Budget, Direct Election of Senators, and Convention of States, so they can claim to have reached the constitutionally required number of 34 States then Congress will call an unlimited Article V Constitutional Convention.

Can We Stop the WHO’s Pandemic Treaty and Health Regulations?

WHO on First?

by Kris Ullman, President, Eagle Forum

As the World Health Organization rushes to put the finishing touches on amendments to the International Health Regulations (IHR) and the Pandemic Preparedness Agreement (ie “treaty”), it is important to remember the goal of the WHO is not to facilitate coordinated reactions to public health emergencies but to dictate the world’s response to “all risks that have the potential to affect public health” including non-medical risks like food choices, biodiversity, gun violence, and climate change. Despite their protestations to the contrary, the amendment to the International Health Regulations and the Pandemic Preparedness Treaty are threats to not only our national sovereignty but to personal sovereignty as well.
